loaves and fishes

I hope the first week of the school holidays has been good for you (whether relaxing with your kids or enjoying the drop in traffic). One of our favourite activities is to head to the icy waters of the Tongariro River and walk along its banks. This time we managed to coincide our arrival with a kids fishing lesson, and so returned home with a trout caught by our son that was smoked with brown sugar, salt and pepper. Ok – not strictly architecture but, when combined with a glass of wine and home-made sourdough bread, still truly inspirational!
