I love it when I have the the time to draw, sketch and capture the ‘feeling’ of a building. Sometimes straight computer renderings just give you the ‘look’ of a space without capturing the moody quality of light and shadow that I find I can emphasise with so much more gravity using pencil and paper. Its also a great way of making design discoveries as you draw. The site http://drawingarchitecture.tumblr.com shows some amazing student work and also other architects drawings where hours have been spent working to achieve this goal.
